Here's how much I dislike French à ce moment :

In class today, I laughed out loud at the name of the restaurant La Grenouille . But then I had to explain myself. I found it hilarious that "grenouille" translates to "frog."
Ha ha ha.

Ow. I know, I've got to hold my smart-ass tongue.

Howth thith? Ithh thith betther?
Fthogs.

hello.

Just a few favors to get out of the way...
1. My computer is showing signs of crack withdrawal. It may have something to do with the AOL roomie installed on my hard-drive, that I stumbled across quite suprisingly. In any case, I am refusing to open any Internet Explorer application because one, I get swamped--swamped with pop-ups; two, I feel like I should hate all things Microsoft (except Word); and three, I don't feel like getting a pop-up blocker. Anyways, as a result of my loyalty to Netscape, a lot of websites aren't showing their true beauty, including my own little mark in the sand, Bad teenage poetry. So please let me know if something is effed up; I'll fix it, I swear. It may not be super speedy as I am finally learning that when I apply myself, I do well. That means, as unhip as it may be, blogging and other leisurely occupations are on the back burner. Bummer.

Please take consolation in the fact that Fridays are getting celebrated as reward to my scholarly efforts. Also, I am seeing Flogging Molly on Tuesday.

Yeah. That whole "Glutton for Punishment" thing is so hot right now.

2. Has anyone seen Starsky and Hutch? Is it worth two hours of my life? Should I wait for video? I only ask because Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson were so devilishly clever in Zoolander. I mean, really, freak gasoline fight accidents? That's awesome.

3. I've been wondering: what's the difference between a backpack, a bookbag, and a bag? Some girls came in yesterday, arguing about the proper name and function of their stylishly ubiquitous Vera Bradley totes. (which I neglected to tell them, was the definitive term.)
sorority sister number 1: Is this a purse or a bag?
sorority sister number 2: I call it a purse, tee-hee.
sister number 3: I call it a book bag. I mean, you are carrying your books in there.
sister number 1: But it's a purse!
sister number 2: yeah, and bookbags? They're back-packs, which, like, have two straps, so you can wear them on your back.
sister number 3: so? My bag has two straps...

I wish I were making this up. I really do.

and the tree outside my window is lovely. white flowers are in bloom. southern spring.
