Bonnaroooooooooooooooo
So maybe I didn't need to pick up on Tuesday afternoon and drive with my best gal pal, H, seven hours to Clemson. We drove to Clemson so we could rendez-vous with Lease and drive another 8 hours all the way to Richmond, VA so that we could get there at 11 pm (Wednesday) and meet-up with some good ole Virginia boys, then another 5 hours to Bristol to add two more cars full of jam-loving butts to our happy caravan just so that we could get to Manchester, TN by 9 am Thursday and sit in Hippie Traffic for another six hours, before finally getting to our camp-site. (Camp Snagglepuss)
But then, I wouldn't have been at Bonnaroo.
BONNA-ROOOO!
I missed class, sure. I spent money, sure.
But the music was so incredible. What a fucking life-changer.
When I don't have to worry about appeasing your curiousity with photo links, or a couple of tests that are just around the corner thanks to Summer School, I'll fill you all in with the details.
Although, for the most part Bonnaroo is indescribable until you've seen it with your own eyes.

Bob did not play the guitar, he strutted around stage and tinkered the keyboard. He warbled a lot of new stuff, which I think ticked the crowd off (but not as bad as the infamous Newport incident). In any case, it was an amazing three days.
Xuli, the festival is every year and well worth whatever it takes to get there. Soulive is great, especially because of the ecclectic sounds each artist brings to the jam.
FYI: Trey played with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra for his first set, and had an awesome sound. You might want to check it out if you're into Phish. Personally I like live Phish better than dead fish (get it? snort, chuckle) There's a link at the Bonnaroo site for downloading recorded sets (I think mostly from the concert). The organization set it up so that you can request downloading whatever songs interest you, they'll ask the artist permission and then respond to you so that you can download it for free.
